Data protection

The practice processes your data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), revised and in force since 1 September 2023, and with the Vaud public health act (LSP). The controller is Swiss Health by Dr MOKHTARI, at the address given above.

The contact form

The form sends the practice your name, your email address, your phone number if you provide it, and the content of your message. This data is used only to reply to you. It travels through the host’s mail server and is neither sold nor used for advertising. It is deleted once your request has been dealt with, unless it has to join your medical file.

The newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, the practice stores your first and last name, your email address, the topics you chose and the language of the site, solely to send it to you. Your subscription only takes effect once you confirm it through the link sent by email. Addresses are managed with Infomaniak Newsletter, on servers located in Switzerland, and are neither sold nor passed on to third parties. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link; you can also ask the practice to delete your data.

Your medical file

Data collected during a consultation is covered by professional secrecy (art. 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code). It is disclosed to a third party — a colleague, a laboratory, an insurer — only with your consent or on a legal basis. Vaud law requires medical records to be kept for at least ten years after the last consultation (art. 87 para. 5 LSP).

Your rights

You may ask to see your complete file, without giving a reason, and have its content explained to you. You may have inaccurate data corrected and ask for the deletion of data that is no longer needed. You can ask for all or part of your record to be deleted, even during the retention period. You then confirm in writing that you release the practice from its retention duty and waive any claim linked to the deleted data. The practice first checks that no overriding interest prevents it.

Send your request in writing to the practice address, or call 024 466 62 46. You may be asked for proof of identity, so that your data is not handed to someone else.

Security and processors

The website and mail are hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, whose servers are in Switzerland. The practice also uses providers for online booking (OneDoc), telephony (Aircall), laboratory tests and billing. Each accesses only the data its task requires and is bound to confidentiality.

Patients resident in the European Union

If you live in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may apply alongside Swiss law. The rights described above are open to you in the same way, through the same channel.
